The layout standards for ladder classrooms and desks and chairs can be referred to as follows:

1. The horizontal distance between the front edge of the first row of desks in the classroom and the blackboard should not be less than 250cm; the horizontal distance between the back edge of the last row of desks in the classroom and the blackboard should not be greater than 1800cm.

2. The horizontal angle between the students in the front row and the far end of the blackboard should not be less than 30°.

3. Seat spacing: primary schools should not be less than 80cm, middle schools, secondary teachers and kindergarten teachers should not be less than 85cm.

4. Walkway width: The clear width of the vertical and horizontal walkways should not be less than 90cm; when there are both middle and wall-side longitudinal walkways, the width of the wall-side longitudinal walkway should not be less than 55cm.

5. The seat width should not be less than 45~50cm.

6. Classroom desks and chairs should be fixed, and seats should be flip chairs.

7. When calculating the sightline elevation value on sloped or stepped floors, the design viewpoint should be set at the bottom of the blackboard and the sightline elevation value for every other row should be 12cm; the front and rear seats should be arranged staggered.
